Open Loop System

Open Loop Systems heat water by channeling it directly through a collector to the existing water tank. This system is the most efficient transfer of heat. System may include a 4'x8' or 4'x10' collector with pressure relief valve for safety and a vacuum relief valve to insure optimal operation. Pricing starts at $5200 and system qualifies for 30% Federal Tax Credit. |

Drain-Back System
|
Drain-Back Systems utilize a heat exchanger to transfer thermal energy to the home's water supply. Water is only circulated through the collector when system is active. Water does not remain in roof collector when system is idle. This insures no possibility of freeze damage to the collector. Pricing starts at $5400 including installation. |

The FAFCO Solar Hot Water System is designed to operate automically, taking advantage of Solar Energy when it is available. Solar Controller will activate the circulation module, which pushes water up to the solar Collector(s) to begin circulation. When Solar Energy becomes unavailable or when Heated water is not required, the system turns off and all water will drain into the drain back tank so water cannot freeze on your roof or in your attic.
